Highland Home students enjoy the sunshine
Highland Home Elementary School has been working hard to keep their students engaged and healthy during the COVID pandemic. With Spring coming and the weather finally cooperating, students have enjoyed several activities outside on the lawn. Plenty of fresh air and fun were had by all. Activities celebrated ‘Read Across America’ week and served as rewards for students who met and exceeded certain goals.
Even Principal Coleman was awarded with a smore for his hard work this year!
Students participated in making smores and roasting marshmallows over an open fire. Many brought beach towels to lay out on the front lawn and read under the warm rays of the sun. Inside the classrooms, students participated in crafts and coloring activities and guest speakers read to classes.
