CCA introduces homecoming court

Festivities for Crenshaw Christian Academy’s 2014 Homecoming will begin Thursday night, Oct. 9, parade at 6 p.m., line up at 5:30 p.m., with a “Glow-in-the-Dark” pep rally beginning at 7 p.m. Pizza will be for sale between the parade and pep rally. One slice and drink will be $3 and $10 for a whole pizza. “Glow-in-the-Dark” merchandise for sale ranges from $1-$3. Friday, Oct. 10, Homecoming begins with the 1 p.m. assembly in the CCA Gym. The assembly will include a formal presentation of the Homecoming Queen and her court. During the assembly, the returning classes of ’75, ’85, ’90, ’95, 05, will be recognized, along with the 2015 senior class and the 2014 football team. Following the court’s presentation, the pep rally featuring the Cougarette Dancers, the Pee Wee Cheerleaders, the Junior Varsity Cheerleaders, and the Varsity Cheerleaders will begin. After the assembly and the pep rally, an Alumni Tea, hosted by the 2015 Senior Class, will be held in the CCA library for all homecoming court and parents, returning alumni, spouses, alumni parents and former teachers. Baby cougarettes and cougarettes perform at pregame at 6:30 p.m. Friends and Alumni are invited to participate in the singing of the National Anthem prior to the 7 kick-off between the CCA Cougars and the Chambers Rebels. Participants are asked to be at the concession stand on the south end of the field for a quick practice before singing. The presentation of the Homecoming Queen and her court will be at half time.
