Gwendolyn Crittenden has announced her intent to seek election for the Georgina City Council.

Crittenden is seeking the District 2 seat.

“I have always wanted to (run for the council) but just didn’t have the time to devote to it,” Crittenden said.

“I would just like to try to bring some awareness to the city council about District 2.”

If elected, Crittenden said she would like to get the community more involved in cleaning up the city.

“I just wanted to try to get the people motivated to clean up and have community pride,” Crittenden said.

“If each neighborhood is working to put forward the best face, then I can be the voice at the council when there are needs or concerns of the people in District 2.”

The election is Tuesday.
