Race fans got their money’s worth Saturday night at the Butler County Motorsports Park.

Before a packed house, local drivers in each racing division competed bumper-to-bumper and put on shows like never before.

&uot;We had a good night,&uot; BCMSP owner Bo Thagard said. &uot;I believe overall we had the best racing all year, maybe the best ever. We had a good HOGG race, Novice race and Hobby race.&uot;

If the exciting, pedal-to-the-metal racing wasn’t enough for the fans, a full field driver including Dwarf Cars was enough to keep them on the edges of their seats.

&uot;We had a real good crowd,&uot; Thagard said. &uot;We had 52 cars racing.&uot;

Thagard said the most exciting race Saturday night in his opinion was the rear-wheel HOGG.

&uot;Will Henderson and Todd Adams put on the best HOGG race I’ve ever seen. It was a good clean race.&uot;

Adams beat out Henderson to claim the checkered flag and increase his points lead to 25 points. Adams is currently leading the point’s race with 146 points. Henderson is second with 121 points.

Bill Brown claimed third in the rear-wheel HOGG feature.

Wayne Cawley (106), Ben Callen (85), Ashley Johnson (74), Jack Callen (61), Bill Conway (48), Chad Edwards (48), Carey Pugh (30) and Robby Price Sr. (18) round out the Top 10 drivers in the rear-wheel HOGG point’s race.

In the hobby feature, David Windham claimed first place after out-driving Brandon Hood and Randy Adams, which finished second and third.

With the win, Windham remained the leader in the hobby point’s race with a 61-point lead over Curt Ryals. Windham has 173 points and Ryals has 112.

Randy Adams (92), Brandon Hood (86), Wayne Lee (53), Ryan Conway (40), Rusty Salter (36), Kenny Cartwright (19), Jack Daughtry (7) and Brandon Register (4) make up the Top 10 in hobby points.

Jim Till drove his car to Victory Lane with a win in the novice division. Stephen McDonald and Rodney Best rounded out the Top 3.

Dewey Boggan currently leads the novice points standings with 108 points, followed by Chris Lewis with 85 points and Jimmy Johnson, who has 81 points.

Wayne Morris (74), Kenneth Harrison (57), Gerald Brown (47), David Ward (29), Jason Barrow (27), Artie Godwon (25) and Tim McDonald (25) are among the Top 10 drivers in novice points.

In the front-wheel feature race, Johnny Beck drove to victory ahead of Mike Fisher and James Loftin.

Gates open every Saturday night at 6 p.m. with practice sessions to follow. Races will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 and kids under 15-years old are free.
