IRONDALE-Mr. Harry Allen Coates, 65, of Irondale, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005.

Funeral services were held at 5:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 2, 2005, at the Advocate Center in Irondale, with Charter Funeral Home of Calera directing.

There will be an additional service at Pigeon Creek in Georgiana, at a later date.

Mr. Coates was born on October 8, 1939, in Butler County, to Ollie and Holman Coates.

He attended Troy State University, Athens College, and Birmingham School of Law.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Wilkinson and Leslie Coates; one son-in-law, Darrell Wilkinson; one brother, Bill Hartsell; one sister, Jackie Phillips; and two granddaughters, Hayley and Hannah Wilkinson.
