BAY MINETTE – Mr. Hubert Hagood Countryman, 84, of Bay Minette, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, July 9, 2005, at the Immanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bob Graves officiating.

Burial followed in Olive Branch Cemetery, in Owassa, with Norris Funeral Home, of Bay Minette, directing.

Visitation was held from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, at Norris Funeral Home.

Mr. Countryman is survived by his wife, Myrtle (DeVan) Countryman, of Bay Minette; and two nephews, Mike Reedy, of Fairhope, and Don Roth, of Florence, S.C.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Maxine Holland, Lynda Reedy and Faye Miller.

Mr. Countryman was born in McKenzie, and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
