We hate to sound like a skipping record, but here we go again.

For the second time in less than two months we are staring down the barrel of a gun, and she's loaded for bear.

Hurricane Katrina looks to be headed down the same path our old friend Ivan did in Sept. 2004. Only this old girl looks to be packing a bigger wallop than Ivan. Forcasters are predicting that the storm will make landfall Monday afternoon as a Category 4 storm. Ivan was a Category 3 when it hit land and then jogged up Interstate 65 and right through Greenville.

Two months ago we battened down the hatches thinking that Dennis would be as strong as Ivan. Only Dennis quickly lost its power as it headed into land and then took a quick turn northwest to leave Greenville with lots of rain and a few gusts of wind.

We all learned our lesson from Ivan, and we should be just as cautious as we were for Dennis. Hurricanes are hard to predict, just as we've learned before.

Let's remember to err to the side of caution so we don't get caught with our pants down as Katrina rides that wave into the Gulf Coast.

So when you make a trip to the local stores, make sure you have all the essentials for what could be another Ivan.
