Greenville city council actions:

– Approved a resolution to accept a quote of $144,311 for annual municipal insurance coverage through Norman Insurance Co.

– Approved the appointment of Jeddo Bell and James Lewis as delegates to Alabama League of Municipalities convention.

– Approved the following expenditures: $4,919.20 to Emergency Lighting by Haynes for push bumpers, interior partitions, accessories for new police cars (purchased through Drug Forfeiture Account funds); $13,830.32 to Emergency Lighting by Haynes for purchase of sirens, light kits, mount bars, wiring and labor to install in new police cars; $1,300 to Auto Trim Design for graphics on new police cars; $1,697 to Clark’s Paint and Body Shop for repairs to police unit No. 70 due to deer accident; $2,816.60 to Clark’s Paint and Body Shop for trim work to new police vehicles; $1,232.06 to BSN Sports/Collegiate Pacific for bats/mesh ball nets for recreation department; $3,500 to Sam’s Club for tables and chairs for Dunbar and Beeland Park; $1,500 to H.K. Pumping to pump six septic tanks at Sherling Lake.
