Brantley PD awarded $75K

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, announced Thursday in a press release that the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance will award $75,000 to the Town of Brantley.

These funds will be used to support the Town of Brantley Police Department in its efforts to enhance and upgrade equipment to increase officer and public safety.

Senator Shelby was instrumental in securing this funding, the release said.

“It is essential that we provide our local law enforcement officers with tools that will help them perform their jobs,” said Shelby. “The Town of Brantley Police Department will use these funds to purchase equipment necessary to improve the department’s capabilities and increase public safety in the community.”
