Mr. Kenneth “Buck” Clark Hudgens, 62, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 17, in Glenwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating.
Mr. Hudgens was a loving husband, father, and brother.
He spent many years of his life in service to the Lord, first as a Gideon and lay speaker, and later as a minister with the United Methodist Church.
He was beloved for his outsized personality, and will be missed dearly by all those he leaves behind. Mr. Hudgens was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Jewel Ethel “Chut” Hudgens; his mother-in-law, Edith Bundy Grimes; and brother-in-law, Don Higgins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lynn Grimes Hudgens; their son, Zachary Clark Hudgens; three siblings, Carra Higgins, Jerry (Sharon) Hudgens, and Charlotte (Don) Hall; father-in-law, John Oree Grimes; special cousin, Darlene Blair Spencer; four nieces, Beth Higgins, Susan Higgins, Melissa Hudgens Ley, and Meredith Hall House; three nephews, Michael Higgins, Michael Hudgens, and Jeffrey Hudgens; and many cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Dickey, Jack Norsworthy, Jimmy Baggett, Walter Folmar Jr, Wayne Gibson, Boyd Berry, and Scott Strickland.
