Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday,      April 25, 2019, at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home for Mrs. Lounell Gaston Malone, 84, a former resident of Greenville, who passed away on Monday, April 22, in Deatsville. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.

Lou grew up in Butler County and was a 1953 graduate of Greenville High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker for many years in the Atlanta, Ga. area, and moved back to Greenville after the death of her parents to maintain the family home. She and her husband, Ed, enjoyed being members of Southside Baptist Church and she enjoyed being a member of the Butler County Historical and Genealogical Society.

Her parents, Elvin Ernest Gaston and Barnie Mae Grant Gaston, preceded Mrs. Malone is death.

Survivors include her husband, Ed F. Malone, who resides in the Bill Nichols Veterans Home in Alexander City; sister, Betty Sue Lucas (Donald Ray Sr.) of Birmingham; daughter, Rita Lou Vonland Allen (Ben Stuart) of Slapout; son, Michael Arlan Vonland (Denise) of Cleveland, Ga.; stepdaughters, Amanda Malone Maines (Frank) of Newnan, Ga. and Angela Malone of Decatur, Ga.; grandchildren, Marie Lounell Ginn, Vanessa Lynea Vonland, Clayton Von Allen and Terrance Lee Allen (Crystal); step-grandchildren, Sarah Maines, Annah Maines, Benjamin Maines and Abigayle Malone; great grandchildren, Travis Allen and Lily Allen;  nephew, Donald Ray Lucas Jr (Barbara), and great nephew, Donald Lucas III.

Pallbearers will be Donald Ray Lucas Jr., Clayton Von Allen and Larry Gaston.
