Entertainment will be provided in the amphitheater. There will be a free petting zoo compliments of Trinity Framing in Montgomery that will include peacocks, chickens, rabbits, goats, ducks and miniature donkeys.

And, of course, food will be available including hamburgers, Polish Dogs, chicken fingers, fires, barbecue chicken plates, pork barbecue sandwiches, popcorn, cotton candy, kettle korn, pork skins, roasted nuts, homemade ice cream, homemade sweets, goat milk caramels, old-fashioned funnel cakes, roasted corn, bottled water, cold drinks, lemonade, tea and coffee.

The event is sponsored by the Fort Deposit Arts Council.

Fried Cross, president of the Arts Council, said of this year’s event, “We are working on several new things with reference to the traveling bicentennial exhibit. We will have an exhibit there to explain what the exhibit is all about.”

She said there will be a considerable number of new exhibitors this year as well as antiques and “lots of new entertainment.”

Also, each year, pets are not allowed inside. However, the Butler County Humane Society volunteers provide a free pet sitting service outside Gate Seven.
