Fort Dale Academy Eagles hosted Escambia Cougars baseball team on Monday and came away with a huge win, blasting the Cougars 13-1 in four and a half innings.

With Jason Little on the mound for the Eagles, the Cougars were scoreless in the first inning after three batters up and three batters down, but the story was quite different when the Eagles came to bat.

Eight scores later the Cougars got their second chance to score and got the single score on their side of the board for the entire game.

The Eagles tacked on three runs in the second, one in the third and one in the fourth.

According to Braxton Daniels, the Eagles had been in a slump with four consecutive losses. “Our fielding had been pretty good, but our hitting suffered,” Daniels said. “To come out and get  10 or 11 hits and win 13-1 was a good win and good recovery game going into a double header against Hooper on Tuesday.”

Tripp Richardson had one double. Luke Taylor had two doubles and one single.

Baron Brack had two doubles, and Wyatt Fullington had one double and one single.

Jason Little and Douglas Crews added on single hits, as well as two singles each from Michael LeCoq and William Crenshaw.

Little, the winning pitcher, pitched the entire game.
