Two unlucky teams met grisly ends at the hands of the Georgiana Panthers this week.

Four separate Panthers found the double-digit scoring mark as Nizaiah Smith led Georgiana with yet another double-double performance of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Backing Smith were Clarence Curry’s 16 points, Torey Rudolph’s 14 points and 10 points from Ja’Michael Stallworth.

The Red Level Tigers were hardly the only opponent to feel the Panthers’ wrath this week, however, as Georgiana also handily bested Straughn 69-36 on the road.

The rotating cast of top scorers continued as it was Keinderus Mobley’s turn to shine Thursday night with 22 points.

Ja’Michael Stallworth and DeAarion Squaire backed him up with 19 points and 10 points respectively.

The wins put the Panthers at 20-2 overall on the season, and Georgiana remains undefeated in area play at 7-0.

The Panthers will travel to face Highland Home Monday.

It was also a successful week for the Lady Panthers of Georgiana as they climbed to 16-5 overall on the season with wins over Red Level and Straughn.

The Lady Panthers defeated Red Level 48-16, and Straughn 43-35.

Mya Riley has consistently proved the Lady Panthers’ No. 1 weapon on offense, and this week proved no different as she led Georgiana with 24 points against Red Level and 19 points against Straughn.

Courtney Powell also reached double-figures with 10 points in the battle with Straughn.

The Lady Panthers will also find their next challenge in the Flying Squadron of Highland Home.
