JV Lady Eagles win big over Macon East

Fort Dale Academy JV Lady Eagles took to the hardwood Monday night at Macon East Academy, facing off with the JV Lady Knights and come away a winner 38-15.

The Lady Eagles took charge as they faced off with the Lady Knights, though a narrow 3-point margin ensured a close game would ensue between FDA and Macon East.

The Eagles rallied in the second quarter, however, as Kaylin Gregory tallied 6 points and helped hold the Knights to only 4 points, giving Fort Dale a slight 5-point advantage at the end of the first half.

Hayden Fail’s 3-pointer was aided by two points each from Emma Jo Thompson and Kimberly Woodard as the Eagles began to gain altitude over the Knights. The lady Eagles defense held the Knights to only 4 points in the third quarter, as the Lady Eagles went ahead by 9 points.

In the fourth quarter the lady Eagles slammed the door on the Knights as they jumped out ahead by 14 points with six points from Emma Jo Thomas.

Cahley Acreman and Avery Royal both added buckets to the Lady Eagles’ total, and Sydney Folds drove to the basket for a layup, drew a foul and tacked on 2 more points from the free-throw line as the Lady Eagles closed out the game flying over the Knights 38-15.

The JV Lady Eagles improved their record 4-1.

The high scorers for the JV Lady Eagles were Kaylin Gregory with 11 points, Emma Jo Thomas with 10 points and Hayden Fail with 5 points.

The Lady Eagles were 4 of 10 at the free-throw line for the night.
