Chester Franklin Phelps, 83, a resident of Opp, Ala., and former resident of Greenville, Ala., died at his home on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. Burial will take place at County Line Church of Christ Cemetery with Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Phelps was preceded death by his parents, Jasper and Inez Phelps. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Phelps of Opp, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Brenda Owens (Randy) of Greenville, Ala., Amaline Owens of Letohatchee, Ala., Martha Owens of Sneeds, Fla., and Doris Patterson of Wetumpka, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
