FDA students perform in honor choir

Nineteen students from Fort Dale Academy were selected to participate in the 2016 AISA Honor Choir, which was held at Taylor Road Baptist Church in Montgomery last week.  Those selected to participate were Sydni Bowers, Mary Claire Carlton, Lynn Choi, Mary Madison Crenshaw, Christian Davis, Caitlin Edgar, Meagan Edgar, Xada Ingram, Hannah Jayroe, Molly Killough, Mary Hannah Miller, Kimball Nall, Madeline Newton, Halle Paulk, Katie Perry, Caroline Pope ,Hannah Schofield, Dailyn Swann and Katherine Tillery. Nineteen students from Fort Dale Academy were selected to participate in the 2016 AISA Honor Choir, which was held at Taylor Road Baptist Church in Montgomery last week.

The students worked with clinician Ed Cleveland, associate minister of music at First Baptist Church in Montgomery. The students performed five selections at the Honor Choir Concert on Friday.

Those selected to participate were Sydni Bowers, Mary Claire Carlton, Lynn Choi, Mary Madison Crenshaw, Christian Davis, Caitlin Edgar, Meagan Edgar, Xada Ingram, Hannah Jayroe, Molly Killough, Mary Hannah Miller, Kimball Nall, Madeline Newton, Halle Paulk, Katie Perry, Caroline Pope ,Hannah Schofield, Dailyn Swann and Katherine Tillery.  Their choir director is Cindy Edgar.

Eight other schools participated in this year’s honor choir:  Central Christian School, Faith Academy, Lee-Scott Academy, Morgan Academy, Restoration Academy, Russell Christian Academy, Springwood School and Tuscaloosa Academy. A total of 109 students made up this year’s choir.
