Oria Dee Turman Campbell

Mrs. Oria Dee Turman Campbell, 90, a resident of Ramer, Ala., died Nov. 14. Graveside services were held Nov. 16 at Hills Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Ramer with Rev. Chuck Francisco officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Campbell; a daughter, Sandra K. Shempert; her parents, James and Idell Williams Turman; two sisters, Frances Trent and Olivia Aston; and a brother, James Paul Turman. She is survived by her five children, Dianne (Fred) Jones, Ronna (Douglas) Davis, John Dee (Nam) Shempert, Thomas (Sandra) Shempert, and Michael (Linda) Shempert; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jimmy Frank Garner, 67, a resident of Luverne, passed away on Nov. 11. A memorial service was held Nov. 14  from the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Linda Sport Garner and a great-grandchild, Kalup Walker. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Morgan Garner; two children, Marquita Compton and Buster (Tabitha) Garner; four grandchildren, Kayla Walker, Katie Hughes, Dylan Garner, and Laken Garner; two great-grandchildren, Carly and Zane Walker; sister, Sue (Huey) Bryan; and a special niece, Stephanie Jones.

Muryl H. Grant

Mr. Muryl H. Grant, 88, a resident of Honoraville, Ala., died on Nov. 15 in Montgomery, Ala. 

The funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 20, at 3:30 pm at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 142 Ashmore Road, Honoraville, Ala., with Rev Danny Dean officiating and Carter Rice & West Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chapel of Carter Rice & West Funeral Home, 10 Chalet Drive, Greenville, AL.

Mr. Grant is preceded in death by his wife: Doris Grant. He is survived by three sons: Kevin Grant of Highland Home, Ala., Kyle Grant of Three Rivers, Mich., and David Grant of Bruce, Miss.; two daughters: Denyse Ames-Fritz of Bradenton, Fla., and Dayna Scheerenberg of Bradenton, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
