The Greenville Police Department has made three arrests in connection with the armed robbery of a Greenville loan company.

Fernandez Grey, 21, Tyler Nall, 18, and Laken Stinson, 24, were arrested Friday and charged with robbery, first degree. All three are from Greenville.

“Fernandez Grey became a person of interest shortly after the investigation began,” Capt. Justin Lovvorn said. “I was able to locate Mr. Grey on Friday and brought him in for questioning. Mr. Grey confessed to his part in the robbery after being confronted with the evidence against him.”

Lovvorn said Stinson is an employee of Regional Finance and was working at the time of the robbery.

According to authorities, a black male entered Regional Finance on Monday at approximately 6 p.m., pulled a gun and demanded money from the employees.

“The employees gave him an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled on foot,” Lovvorn said.

After employees called 911, officers responded to the scene and investigators were able to collect several items of evidence, which ultimately led authorities to the suspects.

“We are confident that all arrests in this case have been made, but the investigation is continuing to confirm that there are no others involved,” Lovvorn said.
