Playing without its leading scorer for the second game in a row, No. 8 Georgiana School didn’t miss a beat Friday night.
With point guard Jacquez Payton sidelined due to illness, the Panthers throttled Florala High School 74-18 in Georgiana.
The Panthers (11-3) were led by Devin McMeans game-high 24 points.
Richard Boggan and Demarcus Rich each added 10 points in the win.
The victory came just one day after the Panthers defeated Pleasant Home 64-23.
McMeans once again set the pace for Georgiana. He had 16 points in the win.
Travales Smith added 11 points and Jeremy Sims chipped in 10 points.
Alex Myrick led Pleasant Home with eight points.
Georgiana will return to action Thursday when it takes part in the Red Level Christmas Tournament. The Panthers will face Luverne in the tournament’s opening round.
