Lady Eagles overpower Lady Cougars on the road

Fort Dale Academy cruised to a 39-7 win over Crenshaw Christian Academy Monday night in Luverne.
The Lady Eagles (4-1) never trailed and reeled off a 14-0 run during the second period of the contest.
Fort Dale forced 31 turnovers and outrebounded Crenshaw Christian 30-16, while holding the Lady Cougars to just 13 percent shooting from the field.
Crenshaw Christian failed to score in the second and fourth periods.
Mary Sanford Perdue led the Lady Eagles with 19 points. She was 5-for-11 from beyond the arc in just under 18 minutes of play.
Samantha Smith scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds in the win.
Ashton Scott, Madison Ann Gaston and AnJoy Castleberry each scored three points.
Scott also pulled down six rebounds.
