Rosetta L. Rodgers

 

Our beloved Sis. Rosetta L. Rodgers, 66, of Highland Home, departed this earn Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

She was born March 2, 1947 in Lake Providence, La., to the union of Barry and Ruthie Allen.

Sis. Rodgers retired from Delphi Packard after 30 years of service.

She enjoyed traveling, her flowers and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jesse Rodgers; four daughters Sepheia Rodgers of Jonesboro, Ga., Indeia (Alvin) Rodgers of Norcross, Ga., Wendy Roger of Highland Home, Monica White of Staten Island, N.Y.; two sons Carlo Rodgers and Courtney Rodgers both of Warren, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Reginald Moore and a grandson Alvin Kolen III.

The wake will be Saturday, Aug. 3, at Little Baptist Hill, County Road 77, Rutledge, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Third Christian Church, 241 First Street, Warren, Ohio.

Services are entrusted to Luverne Mortuary.

 

James R. “Runt” McLeod

 

McLEOD, Mr. James R. “Runt,” 67, a resident of Goshen died suddenly Thursday, July 26, 2013.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2013 at the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Jared Buchanan officiating. Interment followed at Darien Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.  Mr. McLeod was preceded in death by his father, Forrest T. McLeod.  He is survived by his mother, Norma Golden McLeod; two brothers, Jerry McLeod and Mark McLeod; one sister, Judy Bozeman; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Active pallbearers were Fletcher Bozeman, Paul Bozeman, John Blair, Joshua Hinton, Mitch McLeod, Keith McLeod, and Ronnie Bozeman.

 

Julius “Doby” Franklin Mount

 

Mount, Julius “Doby” Franklin, age 80 a resident of Greenville, died on Sunday, July

28, 2013 at his residence. The funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Rev. Rickey Crisell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Rutledge Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mr. Mount is survived by his daughter, Linda Gail Hinkley; sons, Ronald Mount (Angie)

and Donald Mount (Janice Carol) all of Greenville, AL; grandchildren, Stephanie Martin,

Lisa Miller, Brandi Mount, Aftan Skipper, Bobo Mount, Sissy Mount, Derek Mount, Lulu Pratt, Buck Mount and Kristan Edwards Mount; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Lamar Mount (Beverly) of Sturgis, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Rickey B. Williams

 

WILLIAMS, Rickey B., 60, a resident of Jack died Tuesday July 23, 2013.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday July 26, 2013, at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Morgan officiating.

Interment followed in Weed Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, R. B. and Nina Merle Jowers Williams; two sisters, Gussie Smith and Linda Faye Sasser; three brothers, Carol Williams, Dan Williams and James “Peewee” Williams.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Merle Downing; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina Marie and Ronnie Robbins; four grandchildren, Cody, Ean, Anasten and Breonna Robbins; four brothers, Kent (Phyllis) Williams, Harold (Karen) Williams, Branard Williams and Bobby (Frances) Williams; and special friends, Ken Downing, Jerry Downing and Jackie Downing.  Active pallbearers were Jimmy Beasley, Charles Beasley, T.J. Nelson, Winston Sasser, Chris Williams and Linc Hart.
