K’s Angels rout Pink Sox

A five-run first inning helped power K’s Angels to a 14-4 win over the Pink Sox April 23 in Dixie Darlings League play.

The game was  a make-up game for a contest that was rained out on April 11.

Cahley Acreman led the offensive charge for K’s Angels with a 3-for-3 performance that included a home run and three runs scored.

Javalo Ocean was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two runs scored and Mirade McMeans picked up two hits and scored two runs in the win.

Abby Pope belted a triple and scored a run for the Pink Sox and Abigail Matthews had a double and scored two runs in the loss.

 

Shockers 11, 

Pink Sox 5

The Shockers cruised to an 11-5 win over the Pink Sox April 18 in Doxoe Darlings action.

Katie Winn led the Shockers with a 2-for-3 effort at the plate. She also scored a run.

Kinley Woodard and Alyssa Powell each had a double in the win. Woodard also scored two runs, while Powell scored once.

Claire Campbell, Abria Bedgood, Janae Allen and Amelia Gregory each had a hit in the win.

Abigail Matthews paced the Pink Sox with a 2-for-3 effort that included a run scored. Alli Butts was 1-for-3 with a double and run scored, and Reagen McGough belted a double in the loss.

 

K’s Angels 11, 

Pink Sox 8

K’s Angels edged the Pink Sox 11-8 on April 22.

Cahley Acreman was 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles and three runs scored to lead the attack for K’s Angels.

Nicole Lewis was 3-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored, and Javalo Ocean was 3-for-4 with three runs scored in the win.

Abby Pope was 3-for-3 with a home run and a run scored to pace the Pink Sox.

Abigail Matthews was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, and Emily Bowen, Emma Ryals and Reagen McGough each had two hits in the loss.

 

Dixie Angels

 

Angel Katz 12, S.W.A.T. 10

A five-run second inning powered the Angel Katz to a 12-10 win over S.W.AT. April 22 in Dixie Angels League play.

Leah Stone was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored to lead the offensive charge for the Angel Katz.

Simya Riley, Alex Lawson, Ashanti Davidson and Grace Gibson each scored two runs in the win.

Maurianna Ball had a double and a run scored for S.W.A.T in the loss, while Brianna Schofield scored three runs.

 

 

Dynamites 8, 

Angel Katz 4

The Dynamites cruised to an 8-4 win over the Angel Katz April 18 in Dixie Angels League action.

Rachel Whiddon scored three runs, Ishala Harper scored two runs and Abby Crase, Dayln Swan and Jinny Coker each scored a run in the win.

Simaya Riley, Jasmine Jenkins, Rachel Owens and Ashant Dariso each scored a run for the Angel Katz in the loss.

 

Dixie Youth

 

Yankees 11, 

Red Sox 0

The Yankees blasted the Red Sox 11-0 on April 12 in Dixie Youth League play.

Jamil Thompson and Jamar Jackson both homered in the win. Jackson also scored two runs.

Trudell Williams was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Yankees.

 

Mets 10, 

Cardinals 2

The Mets topped the Cardinals 10-2 on April 12 in a Dixie Youth League showdown.

Taite Watson was 4-for-4 with a triple and three runs scored to lead the Mets’ offensive charge.

Evan Clark and Braxton Daniels each homered and scored two runs and Bryce Yancey was 2-for-4 with a run scored in the win.

Joshua Petty homered for the Cardinals in the loss, and Moe Moseley was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

 

Dixie Minor

 

Red Sox 9, 

Rays 5

A four-run first inning propelled the Red Sox to a 9-5 win over the Rays April 18 in a Dixie Minor League showdown.

Tyran Ingram was 1-for-1 with a triple and two runs scored to lead the offensive charge for the Red Sox.

Damien Mount was 1-for-1 with two runs scored and Eric Rudolph scored two runs in the win.

Nate Richardson was 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored for the Rays, while Dawson Sarblah was 1-for-2 with two runs scored in the loss.

 

White Sox 11, Braves 1

The White Sox blasted the Braves 11-1 April 18 in Dixie Minor action.

Marterris Davidson led the White Sox with a 2-fr-2 effort that included a home run and two runs scored.

DeMarcus Smith was 1-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored, and Caden Coker and Tony Spann were each 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored.

Cameron Acreman was 1-for-2 with a double and Jaquan Robinson scored a run for the Braves in the loss.
