McKenzie shuts out Greenville

McKenzie School defeated in-county rival Greenville High School for the third time in six days Thursday night.
McKenzie did so in convincing fashion scoring a 10-0 victory in five innings at the Greenville Softball Complex.
McKenzie senior hurler AJ Sanford earned the win in the pitcher’s circle. She pitched all five innings and struck out eight Greenville batters.
Dazia Womack led McKenzie’s offensive charge. She plated three runs on two hits, including a home run.
Ashley Ballard finished with three hits and a pair of RBIs, while Rachel Pitts and Whitney Boswell each had two hits and two RBIs.
McKenzie will be back in action today when it takes part in the Florala High School tournament. The Lady Tigers will play host to Highland Home High School Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
