Lady Eagles outlast Escambia

Fort Dale Academy edged Escambia Academy 40-37 Tuesday night.
Three Lady Eagles reached double figures in the win, led by Mary Sanford Perdue’s 13 points.
Hannah Johnson and Caroline Snellgrove both scored 10 points.
Perdue and Snellgrove combined for five of Fort Dale’s six 3-pointers in the contest. Perdue was 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, while Snellgrove connected on 2-of-4 attempts.
Perdue also tallied four steals.
Theresa Scott led Fort Dale with 15 rebounds.
With the win, the Lady Eagles improved to 11-6 and 3-0 in Class AAA, Region 2.
Fort Dale will be back in action Thursday when it plays host to Hooper Academy. The game is slated to begin at 6 p.m.
