Eagles rally for comeback win

No. 8 Fort Dale Academy rallied to score a 48-42 comeback win over Escambia Academy Tuesday.
The Eagles trailed 21-9 at halftime, but outscored Escambia 21-10 in the third period and 18-11 during the final eight minutes of play to secure the win.
The Eagles offensive charge was led by Chip Taylor.
Taylor scored 22 points and was 6-for-8 from the free-throw line. He also pulled down nine rebounds.
Jack Bates recorded a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds.
Bates also tallied five blocks in the win.
The win improved the Eagles’ season mark to 12-5. They are also 2-1 in Class AAA, Region 2 play.
Fort Dale will be back in action Thursday when it plays host to Hooper Academy. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
