Tigers finish fifth at Sandestin Beach Basketball Blowout

Greenville High School claimed a fifth-place finish at the 18-team Sandestin Beach Basketball Blowout at Freeport High School.
The Tigers (5-6) scored wins over Florida’s Paxton High School and Crestview High School, as well as Bayside Academy.
Greenville’s lone loss came in its second game of the tournament when it fell to Spanish Fort High School 66-52.
The Tigers topped Paxton 71-68, Bayside 70-60 and Crestview 79-72.
“It was a great experience for these young men and we played our best basketball of the year on Monday,” Greenville head coach Richard Kelly said. “I am proud of the way they performed.”
Greenville senior Kent Riley was named to the all-tournament team.
