McKenzie School’s season came to an end Friday night with a 56-21 loss to Goshen High School in Goshen.

McKenzie head coach Miles Brown said that while he was disappointed with the loss, he was proud of the effort his players turned in.

“There were a few times that we just didn’t execute, but when you are dealing with a group of young guys like we are, you are going to have that,” Brown said. “That being said, I think our kids played hard and did a good job.”

The Tigers finished the season with a 3-7 mark after starting 2-1. It marks the second straight season McKenzie has missed the postseason.

“You never want to see your season come to an end in Week 10,” Brown said.

“You always, always want to go to the playoffs, but if there is one positive from this season it is  that we played a lot of young guys that gained a lot of very valuable game experience that is going to benefit them and our program down the road.”
