No. 9 Fort Dale Academy will close out its regular season Thursday night on the road against Wilcox Academy in Camden.

Fort Dale will host Glenwood School in the first round of the playoffs Nov. 2.

The Eagles (6-3) enter Thursday’s contest coming off a 36-35 loss to No. 1 Edgewood Academy. It was Fort Dale’s first loss since Sept. 21 when the Eagles were defeated 52-14 by No. 2 Monroe Academy.

The Wildcats enter Thursday’s showdown riding the momentum of a three-game winning streak. Wilcox started the season 0-3, but has won five of its last six games, including 34-26 win over South Choctaw Academy last week.

Wilcox will be the fourth Class AA team the Eagles have faced this season. Class AAA Fort Dale is 1-2 this season against teams from Class AA after dropping decisions to Autauga Academy and Edgewood.

Fort Dale and Wilcox (5-4) will face off at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Field.
