Fort Dale Academy’s slow start proved too much to overcome Tuesday. The Eagles dropped a 30-6 decision to Monroe Academy in junior varsity action.

Fort Dale scored its only points of the night late in the first quarter when Austin Vickery carried the ball in from nine yards out to cap a 71-yard drive.

Fort Dale’s Maurlan Dickerson had 14 carries for 59 yards and Vickery was 7-for-38 passing. He completed a 25-yard pass to Luke Taylor and a 24-yard pass to Andrew Salter. Taylor also completed a pass to Tripp Richardson for 10 yards.
