FDA aiming to snap losing skid

Fort Dale Academy will celebrate homecoming Friday night.
The Eagles hope to do so by snapping a two-game losing skid with a win over Morgan Academy.
“One game (doesn’t) make a season, and you don’t make everything work off one game, but we still have to do a lot to improve if we want to do more with this season,” Fort Dale head coach James “Speed” Sampley said after last week’s 52-14 loss to Monroe Academy.
A win Friday night would go a long way toward helping the Eagles secure a berth in the postseason. Fort Dale and Monroe currently sit atop the Class AAA, Region 2 standings with two wins each. Morgan owns just one region win.
The Eagles have owned the series with the Senators of late, winning four in a row since 2006, including a 30-13 win in 2010 when Fort Dale went on to win the Class AAA state championship.
Morgan does however hold a 9-7 advantage in the all-time series.
Fort Dale (3-2, 2-1) and Morgan (3-2, 1-1) will square off Friday at 7 p.m.
