Camellia City Classic set for Sept. 12

The 7th annual LBW Community College/Camellia City Classic will be played Sept. 12.

The event, which is hosted by the LBW Community College Foundation, serves as a fundraiser for the college’s scholarship program.

Last year’s tournament raised approximately $20,000 for the program, which funds scholarships, student activities and special projects on the Greenville campus.

“This means everything to us and our students,” Dr. Jim Krudop, director of LBW’s Greenville campus, said. “This tournament really makes a difference.”

The tournament will be played in a four-person scramble format at Cambrian Ridge and is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The driving range will open at 11 a.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, closest to the pin, longest drive and for a hole-in-one.

The cost of $150 per golfer, and includes the greens fee, cart fee and dinner.

The deadline to register for the tournament is Wednesday.
