The Fort Dale Academy tennis teams claimed not one, but two team trophies at the finals at the Alabama Independent School Association tennis championship Thursday at Huntingdon College in Montgomery.
Both the Eagles and the Lady Eagles claimed runner-up finishes in Class AAA.
Fort Dale head coach Elizabeth Matthews said she believes this marks the first time that both the Eagles and the Lady Eagles have won team trophies at the state tournament in the same year.
The Lady Eagles also finished as the runner-up in 2011, while the Eagles claimed third-place finish last season.
Along with the team trophies, Fort Dale also won two individual championships.
