Fort Dale Academy’s offensive woes continued Tuesday as Lee-Scott Academy hurler Chelsea Messer no hit the Lady Eagles to help power the Lady Warriors to a 22-1 win at the FDA Sportsplex.

“We have had a couple of games where the girls, for the most part, have done very well hitting the ball,” FDA head coach Scarlett Anderson said. “We have struggled in that department, however, these last few games.”

The Lady Warriors’ offensive charge was led by Rachael Barefield. She was 3-for-4 with a home run. Messer also went 3-for-3 at the plate. Katie Poole, Morgan Whitman and Claire Milton were all 3-for-4 for Lee-Scott.

The loss drops the Lady Eagles to 2-15 on the season.

“We have a very young team,” Anderson said. “Top that with several injuries and I think we have done well with what we have been through already this season. We have dealt with injuries and many other unforeseen circumstances this season, but we are sticking with it.”
