LBW Community College in Greenville recently hosted a presentation and book signing by author Dr. Julie Hedgepeth Williams, left, of her latest book, A Rare Titanic Family: The Caldwells’ Story of Survival. Students, faculty, staff and community members learned of the story of Williams’ family members, one of the few families to survive the sinking of the Titanic on her maiden voyage 100 years ago.
