Killough, who has been a student at Fort Dale Academy since second grade, expressed his excitement for this next chapter in his academic and athletic journey.

Krystal Killough, Brodie’s mother, shared her excitement for her son’s achievement.

“We’re excited. He’s put in a lot of work to get to this point,” Krystal said. “It’s bittersweet to me as a mom, but we are just super proud of him…to get to see him chase his dreams.”

Fort Dale soccer coach Henry Ellis, who has been leading the team at Fort Dale for twelve years, expressed his pride in witnessing Killough’s development and said he sees similarities between himself and young Brodie.

“We started with Brodie when I first moved to town,” Ellis said. “So, I’ve had him since he was six, and just watching him develop and watching his passion from almost day one, turning straight to soccer, was really fun to see. It was fun watching him because he developed the same way I did.

“I’m excited for Brodie’s opportunity, and he absolutely deserves it because he’s put in so much work. I was very excited when I heard he was going to get this opportunity, and I know that he’ll do well with it.”

Killough’s commitment to Huntingdon College marks a significant milestone in his academic and athletic journey, highlighting his dedication and passion for soccer. As he prepares to embark on this new chapter, his family and friends celebrate his achievements and look forward to seeing his continued success.
