Lady Eagles soar past Sparta

Runs haven’t come easy for Fort Dale Academy this season. That wasn’t the case on Monday.

FDA plated runs in bunches en route to an 11-3 win against Sparta Academy at the FDA Sportsplex.

“I think this is the best game we have had (offensively),” Anderson said. “All of our players were on a good streak – not just a few.”

Anderson was also pleased with the performance of her defense, and particularly the play of hurler Hannah Johnson.

“All of my players came through for me,” she said. “Hannah did a wonderful job. She is working through a groin injury, so I was very proud of the she played.”

No statistics were available.

FDA (2-14) will be back in action Friday when it takes on Glenwood in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for noon at the FDA Sportsplex.
