McKenzie downs Hillcrest-Evergreen
McKenzie School improved to 3-1 on the season with a 15-5 win against Hillcrest-Evergreen on Friday in McKenzie.
The game was shortened to five innings due to the mercy rule.
Ashley Ballard earned the win for the Lady Tigers in the pitcher’s circle.
A.J. Sanford and Dazia Womack led McKenzie’s offensive charge. Both players turned in 3-for-4 efforts at the plate.
McKenzie faced in-county rival Greenville High School on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. The Lady Tigers will be back in action Thursday when they hit the road for a showdown with Red Level High School. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
