Greenville High School will look to wrap up an undefeated season Thursday night when it plays host to Sidney Lanier High School.
The Tigers’ lone loss in 2011 was erased after Wetumpka High School was forced to surrender its wins due to the use of an ineligible player.
On the other side of the field, the Poets (2-7) will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak.
Sidney Lanier was defeated 16-6 by Robert E. Lee High School Friday night. Kamryn Pettway gave the Poets the early lead when he scored on a 4-yard run with 10:26 to play in the opening quarter, but the Generals rallied to score 16 unanswered points and earn the victory.
Kickoff for Thursday’s contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.
