Rays sweep A’s

The Rays completed a doubleheader sweep of the A’s Friday in Dixie Youth League play. The Rays won game one 5-1 before taking game two 8-2.
William Sherling was 2-2 at the plate to pace the Rays’ offensive charge. He also scored a run. Brandon White and Luke Taylor each collected a hit and scored two runs each in the win. Taylor was credited with the win on the mound.
DeArius Mitchell led the A’s offensive effort with a 1-for-3 performance. Chase Mansmann scored the lone run for the A’s.
In game two, White and Douglas Crews both belted home runs. Taylor was 1-for-1 at the plate and scored three runs in the win.
White earned the win on the mound.
Ryan Davis and Zachary Burt were each 1-for-2 with a run scored in the loss.
Giants 4-7, Braves 3-3
The Giants topped the Braves 4-3 and 7-3 Monday to sweep a doubleheader in Dixie Youth League action.
In game one, Tanner Cartwright picked up two hits in the win to pace the Giants. Nathan Scroggins and Kyler Weeks each had a hit in the win. Weeks also earned the win on the mound.
Sullivan Harold, Cameron Brooks, Dallas Sloane and Lance Powell led the Braves at the plate.
In game two, Cartwright had two hits and Scroggins, Weeks, Jerod Johnson and Reid Crosby each had a hit. Jimbo Wheeler was credited with the win.
Daniel McKeown was 1-for-1 to lead the Braves.
Dixie Minor League
Rangers 5, Braves 2
Braxton Daniels belted a home run and drove in two runs to help power the Rangers to a 5-2 win against the Braves Monday night in Dixie Minor League play.
Taite Watson, who earned the win on the mound, also had a hit for the Rangers in the win.
Daniel Palmer, Williams Rushing and Chase Crase led the Braves at the plate.
Red Sox 11, Dodgers 9
The Red Sox edged the Dodgers 11-9 Monday in a Dixie Minor League showdown.
Brandon Blackburn, Baker Bozeman, Raquez Scarver and Caleb Garrett each had a hit for the Red Sox in the win.
Bozeman was credited with the win.
Eli Foster, T.J. Williams, Heath Crawford, Ian Foster, Joshua Strickland, Joshua Cortez and Jonathan Sheffiled led the Dodgers at the plate.
Rays 9, Mets 8
Cameron Meyers was 3-for-3 with three runs scored to lead the Rays to a 9-8 win against the Mets Monday in Dixie Minor League action.
John Robert Holladay and Drew McClellan were both 1-for-2 with a run scored in the win.
Jamil Thompson earned the win on the mound.
Evan Clark, Austin Wiliams and Tyrone Ingram paced the Mets at the plate. Clark collected two hits and scored a pair of runs.
Mite League
White Sox 9, Braves 7
The White Sox topped the Braves 9-7 Monday night in Mite League play.
Sam Shirley, Austin Wright and Davis Gaston were each 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the White Sox.
Damion Mount was 3-for-3 and Jalin Herbert and Jer’Dariun Davison each had two hits in the loss.
Cubs 12, Red Sox 8
The Cubs downed the Red Sox 12-8 Monday in Mite League action.
Channing Beverly was 3-for-3 with a home run to lead the Cubs. Nate Richardson was 3-for-3 and Blaine Hinson was 2-for-3 in the win.
Stephen Ponder was 2-for-3 and Evan Godwin drove in three runs for the Red Sox in the loss.
Dixie Angels League
Sassy Slammers, 6, Diamond Divas 6
The Sassy Slammers and the Diamond Divas played to a 6-6 tie Monday in Dixie Angels League play.
Kayla Motley, Izzy Foster, Shelby Vickery, Kaillyn Neese, Alex Little and Sydni Colvin each had a hit for the Diamond Divas.
Katie Reaves, Caitlin West, Zykita Bradley, Hannah Claire, Alyssa Braden and Bailey Coker each had a hit for the Sassy Slammers.
Regulators 6, Southern Belles 3
Tankevia Durant was 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Regulators to a 6-3 win against the Southern Belles Monday in Dixie Angels League action.
Daphne Moore and Courtnee Myers each had a hit in the win.
Dixie Belles
Diamond Belles 5, Angel Katz 4
The Diamond Belles slipped past the Angel Katz Monday in Dixie Belles League play.
Dache Tindal, Halle Black and Jordan Neese each had a hit in the win.
Adrieene Colvin, Takyhia McMeans and Myka Walker each collected a hit for the Angel Katz.
Regulators 6, Skittles 2
The Regulators scored a 6-2 win against the Skittles Friday in a Dixie Belles showdown.
Daphne Moore was 2-for-2 and Tankevia Durant and China Powell were each 1-for-1.
Southern Belles 12, Dixie Angels 0
The Southern Belles blanked the Dixie Angels 12-0 Friday night in Dixie Belles League play.
Whitney Boswell was 3-for-3 and Brittney Nolan and Ashley Stucky were each 2-for-2 in the win.
