A Brantley woman was arrested late Monday afternoon after police received a report of a 4-year-old walking alone down the street.

Around 4:15, the Brantley Police Department received a call from 911 stating that a neighbor had custody of a child they had found walking down Sasser Street.

According to assistant police chief Lamar Chandler, his mother had left him alone in their apartment, and he walked out looking for her.
