FDA sweeps Hooper

Jessie Langford scored 10 points and Emily Boulware added eight to help the Fort Dale Lady Eagles to a 44-21 win over visiting Hooper on Monday night.

FDA led 20-16 at halftime, but went on a 14-1 tear in the third to put the Lady Colts away. Langford and Abbey Martin combined for two baskets and Anne Carol Branum added a jumper that was followed by a Katie Wilson lay-up, giving Fort Dale a 28-16 lead. Branum added another two-points before a Hooper foul shot halted the run.

Wilson scored two more baskets before the end of the third period.

Hooper 37, Fort Dale 63 (Boys)

Stuart Matthews and Dustin Till each had 12 points to lead Fort Dale to the 63-37 win over Hooper.

The game was a back-and-forth affair early, but the Eagles turned a 10-point lead at halftime into a route after the break.

Steven Till and Luke Hutcheson each had eight points for Fort Dale.

Hooper 27, Fort Dale 33 (Boys JV)

Wesley Scott scored 12 to lead the JV team. Dylan Jones had 11 points also in the win.

Hooper 17, Fort Dale 31 (Girls JV)

Hayden Robinson scored six points to lead the Lady Eagles JV team which improved to 5-4. – Staff Reports
