Crenshaw Christian head football coach Roland Jones has achieved something few coaches do – he’s been named AISA Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.
Jones said the award is more about his team than it is about him.
“It’s not about me,” he said. “It’s about the kids. They achieved more than I thought they would this season.”
The award is voted on by every coach in the AISA, a fact that isn’t lost on Jones.
“The best thing about it is that my peers have respect for me, and it means a lot to me to have them vote for me again,” he said.
