Highland Home School held a Veterans Day Program on November 10, 2009 in the gymnasium.
Following the program in the gym, the veterans, Superintendent Kathi Wallace and the HHS administration placed a wreath of remembrance at the marker underneath the jet located in the school’s lower parking lot.
HHS hosted about 18 veterans representing all branches of the military.
Total service given by these 18 men was roughly 236 years.
The HHS Student Government Association was responsible for the program.
The veterans and their families were also honored during a Tea in the library.
Guest speakers included John Ward, Richard Morgan, Sandy Smith and Mike Dunn.
Highland Home School would like to thank each and every man and woman who selflessly serve our country each and every day.
