The Greenville Tiny Mites made it to the Super Bowl championship last Saturday, but couldn’t pull off a win against Andalusia in the final game.

“We made it there, but we just didn’t get the crown,” said coach Jason Posey.

In the opening game, the Tigers defeated Crestview 25-7.

Javion Posey had an 80-yard touchdown on the final play of the first half, and Padro Davidson Jr. and Cordell Powell also scored.

Andalusia won 20-13 in the championship game, despite a 35-yard run by Posey to tie the game before half and a touchdown catch by Bishop Riley.

The Tigers end the season with a 10-3 record.

“Overall, the team did an excellent job,” Posey said. “We started the season a little slow, but everyone came together at the end.”
