The Luverne Tigers massed 578 yards of total offense as they destroyed the Cottage Hill Warriors last Friday night in Glenn Daniel Stadium, 50-20. The game was not as close as it seemed as the Warriors scored two late fourth quarter touchdowns against Tiger subs.

The Tigers scored 2 first quarter TDs and a safety for a 14 point lead. The TDs came on a 1 yard run by Lance Brooks and a 29 yard run by Ladorian Jackson; both PATs were missed, but a bad snap for a safety gave the Tigers a 14-point lead.

The first Tiger score of the second quarter came on a 57-yard pass from quarterback Monterio May to Ryan McGhee; the PAT was kicked by Cody Chrzastek. Later, Ladorian Jackson broke loose on his second TD scamper on a 29 yard run. Chrzastek added the PAT. The last Tiger TD of the first half came on a 52 yard by fullback Seth Wood, who had a 60-yarder called back in the first quarter. The PAT was missed, but the final points of the first half came from the toe of Cody Chrzastek as he booted a 29 yard field goal.
