Monroe takes down FDA JV

After an evenly matched first half, the Monroe Volunteers proved to be too much for the Fort Dale JV, handing them a 22-12 loss.
“We just didn’t play very well in the second half,” said coach William Johnson. “We struggled on defense all night.”
Dow Gardner caught a touchdown pass just as the first half expired to tie the game at six, but Monroe owned the second half.
The Eagles’ lone score came on a sneak by Chip Taylor.
The loss moves FDA to 3-3 on the season, and sets up the last home game of the season next week against Morgan.
