The Morgan Academy Pee-Wee team came out on fire Tuesday night, and Fort Dale was unable to overcome a big first-quarter deficit and lost 30-6.
“We just didn’t show up ready,” said head coach Justin Thomas. “We played with them after the first quarter.”
Morgan jumped out to a 22-0 lead in that first period.
“This was the first team we’ve played all year that had a lot of team speed,” Thomas said. “They had some quick running backs and they just got to the corner on us.”
Fort Dale’s touchdown came after De Martin caught a tipped pass from Austin Vickery.
Daniel McKeown also played a solid game on both the offense and defense sides of the ball, providing several big blocks and tackles.
