First Baptist Church in Luverne is gearing up to celebrate its 120th birthday on Sunday, Sept. 27.

The church is located on East Third St. in downtown Luverne.

The special day’s activities will begin with worship service at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Homecoming luncheon.

Rev. Donnie Burns, pastor, said that the day would be filled with singing and fellowship before the meal.

“A special video will also be shown to recognize and honor members who have passed on,” he said.

Rev. Burns and members of the Board of Deacons extend a special invitation and urge former members and others to make plans to attend the 120th birthday on Sept. 27.
