Fort Dale’s JV team kept rolling against Prattville Christian on Tuesday night 14-0.

The game was called at halftime because of a torrential downpour that moved through the area.

“We’re counting it as a win, but it is what it is,” said coach William Johnson. “I don’t think the game was ever in doubt.”

Once again, the defense proved to be a strong point for the Eagles when Ryan Salter intercepted a pass and returned it 71 yards for a touchdown.

Adding in an interception by Taylor Windham, FDA has picked off seven passes in only 10 quarters of play.

Ryan Taylor also added a touchdown run with a two-point conversion by Ryan Burkett to make the score 14-0.

Next up for the Eagles is a matchup against Hooper next Tuesday.

“Hooper’s a lot like us – they like to run and they play good defense,” Johnson said. “I expect it’ll be a tough game.”

In other action, the Termites won 20-0 while the Pee-Wees fought to a 6-6 tie.

Luke Taylor had runs of 62, 21, and 68 yards for the Termites, and Tripp Richardson added the two-point conversion.

Tanner Duncan and Braxton Daniels led the defense with five and six tackles, respectively, and both also had fumble recoveries.

Tuesday’s games against Hooper are set to begin at 5 p.m.
